FIVE Coupon Inserts THIS weekend

Yep....you read that title right. This Sunday, August 2, there will be 5 (FIVE) coupon inserts. I'm quite sure you will get your dollar fifty worth. In fact, consider buying 2 or more papers:-) If you'd like a sneak peak of what coupons *might* be in our inserts, check out this link

I say *might* because our region tends to not get as many coupons as others. Why? I don't know. Maybe we need to start a letter writing campaign. Any volunteers to head that up?

There are some great deals at CVS this coming week. If you want the free after extra care bucks school supplies, I suggest going on Sunday, because it seems that they are out of most things by Monday. If you don't need any supplies, get them anyway and donate them to a student in need or a school. It's a nice little way to give back.

I've also heard that KMart has double Qs coming up soon....maybe we'll get some good Qs in the paper this week to use with that:-)

Alberton's Meat Coupons

Hey ladies,
Well...it's official. We have two clipper chicks, one being Teri, who used the Albertson's meat coupons with great success. For those who don't know, Albertsons puts out crazy meat coupons such as Buy1 London Broil, get 2 Free. Yeah, you read that right. This week, their flyer has three different buy 1 get 2 free meat coupons. You'll have to head to Albertsons on the corner of Bonita Beach Road and Livingston to pick up a flyer if it wasn't delivered to your house. One Clipper Chick had success at The Strand (*gasp*) and Teri used hers at the Pebblebrooke Publix. So...happy meat buying!

Target Clearance Site

Hi Girls!
Sorry it took me so long to get this on here but here is the site you can go to for Target clearance info:
http://www.dealbeacon.com/target.htm

I haven't had the chance to verify any of these markdowns at our Target yet and how accurate this list is, but anytime I get a chance to I'll post my results. Feel free to comment if you have any experiences with this too.

Along the same lines, we talked about toy clearances happening BIG time in the month of July. KMart has a great toy coupon here for $5/$20 toy purchase and you canuse it with their clearance toys too! I'm gonna head over there sometime in the next couple days and check it out.

New Target Policy...Price Matching

Woohoo...Target is now price matching.
According to Ginger at Attention Target Shoppers who received an official press release concerning price matching in competitor ads.

Print or save this for future reference.

At Target, we are dedicated to offering exceptional prices on items throughout our stores.

As of July 12, Target stores nationwide will match advertised prices from competitors on identical items in local markets, assuring guests that our products are priced right. We've been testing Our Low Price Promise in Target stores in the Denver and Orlando markets since March 2009 and in select Minneapolis stores since May 2009.

Our Low Price Promise showcases our commitment to offering low prices and value to our guests. We’re giving our guests peace of mind that they can get a great deal at Target.

We are confident we have low prices every day. However, if our guests happen to find a lower price on an identical single item – defined as the same brand and model number that is listed on a local competitor’s printed advertisement, during the effective date of the ad – we will match that price.

We are communicating Our Low Price Promise to guests through our weekly circular – in Sunday newspapers and online. Later this summer, we will add in-store signage.

It's still too early to gauge the impact of program but so far, guests have requested very few price adjustments.

How Our Low Price Promise Works

Within seven days of purchase, guests can bring the actual printed competitor ad and a Target receipt of purchase of the same item to our in-store Guest Service area to receive a price adjustment. Photos/copies of advertisements or receipts will not be accepted.

In an effort to ensure that our checkout lanes are efficient and quick for our guests, we’ll handle price matches at our Guest Service desk. If a guest wants to do a price match in the checkout lane, our team members will ring up an item at the current price and then direct the guest to the Guest Service desk to do the price adjustment.

Price matching will apply to current, local print ads for in-store products only. Our price-match policy is not applicable to Target.com or other online ads. The following is a full list of exclusions:
  • Target.com or online retail promotion
  • Competitor’s Free Product
  • GiftCards
  • Limited quantity items
  • Open box or damaged
  • Clearance or closeout
  • Mail-in offers
  • Services (warranties, assembly, etc.)
  • Bundle offers
  • Special order
  • Sales-tax promotions
  • Liquidation/going out of business
  • Special financing
  • Coupons
  • Used or previously owned
  • Display merchandise
  • Pricing or typographical errors
  • Club or loyalty
Value

We have significantly increased our emphasis on communicating value through our marketing, in-store signing and merchandise presentation. Our Low Price Promise demonstrates our commitment to offering great value to our guests.

Target remains true to our brand promise of “Expect More. Pay Less.” We’ll continue to focus our efforts on the “Pay Less” side of our brand promise, while continuing to offer our guests what has helped us differentiate ourselves from our competitors: high quality, great design, affordability, and an inviting shopping environment.

At Target, we have a long-standing commitment to being price competitive with other retailers. We also remain firmly committed to delivering the newness, innovative design and exceptional quality Target is known for.

July 13 meeting

Tonight we had a pretty good meeting with some good deal conversation.

Publix...check out Hot Coupon World for the best coupon match ups. Don't forget to print two coupons for the products

CVS....8x6 photobook are $7.99 with $7.99ecb back...which makes them FREE!!!! The ad says limit one, but according to Green Tree CVS it is limit 5 as the large in store sign states. Woohoo. Some ideas for photobooks: gift for grandparents, easy yearly scrapbook for you child(ren), make a chore chart with pictures, document your furniture and valuables for insurance purposes, scrapbook of your wedding or favorite family vacations. Seriously....these are nice little keepsakes. I bought my first one for a penny...the other 4 I make tomorrow will be free:-)

Thru Tuesday there are a ton of school supplies that are free after extra care bucks. After Tuesday, they are regular price with no ecb.

Gillette Fusion razor $7.99 with 4 ecb...there is a $4Q from June P&G if you still have it.

Staples
A pack of 500 sheets of copy paper is $.01 after easy rebate (limit 2)
There are a ton of other items that are one dollar after the rebate (including photopaper).

To use the $5/20Q that was in the Staples ad this week here is an idea....buy 2 Staples photo papers ($9.99 each) and one pack of Staples 500ct copy paper (3.99). Your total will be $23 and change. Use the $5 Q and pay $18 and change out of pocket. Fill out the easy saver rebate and get $21 and change back in rebate money. It's a $3.00 money maker:-)

CVS photobook changes....unknown at this time

Yesterday when I looked at our CVS ad, I was disappointed to see limit 1 on the photobook offer. This would have been a fun way to roll ecb because it was suppose to be limit 5. I have read rumors on sites like iheartcvs and hotcoupon world that really it is limit 5 everywhere, but this is not yet confirmed in out area. I hope to have an answer tonight at our meeting. I will go in today and make one photobook and see what my receipt says after I purchase it. I've spent some time putting together 5 sets of pictures for these pictures, so I'm really hoping this deal will work.

If anyone else tries it out before me....leave a comment and let us know how it goes.

If not...I hope to see you tonight. I have a hard time making it at 7:30...but I will be there by 8 to lead coupon discussions. Have a super day!

Sunday's Paper - only one insert

Tomorrow, it looks like only the Proctor & Gamble insert will be in the paper. This insert is generally only found in the News-Press...not the Naples Daily News. Click here to see what coupons are scheduled to be in this insert.

Now...this is a chance...but in the past, I've noticed the Wednesday version of the Bonita Banner, a free publication found in public areas like the library, include the P&G insert. I may buy one paper tomorrow, and hope that the Bonita Banner has the insert later in the week.

Happy Fourth of July. Have fun celebrating:-)

2009 ALL YOU Grocery Challenge

I wanted to pass on to you all info about the ALL You Grocery Challenge I found in the ALL YOU magazine this month.

They are challenging you to spend $25/member of your house hold/week for 4 weeks (So, if there are four of you, your budget is $100/wk). They want you to document how you spent your food money (including eating out), what your menu was like, etc. The lucky winner gets a $1,000 grocery gift card and a year's supply of Knorr's Sides.

Obviously there will be zillions (OK, maybe not zillions, but thousands) of people entering. But...how cool would it be to have a Clipper Chick win, or at least be in the top 10? I know some of you have come a LONG way in your grocery shopping just in a few months. I'd love to know if you are going to participate.

Here are some handy dandy links.
